My mother and I took Abigail to her first musical. It was a professional, "off-Broadway" performance especially for children. The play merged 10 different Dr. Seuss books with an emphasis on Horton the elephant. The songs, characters, dancing, costumes, props and staging action fascinated and amused Abigail to no end. After the performance, we took Abigail to Barnes & Noble to peruse some Dr. Seuss books then on to "dine" at Panera. So, we had a very complete outing!

I can hardly express how it warms my heart to share my love for the theater with my daughter. Abby behaved so well throughout the performance and genuinely adored her first "theater" experience. We all dressed up, Abigail in a "princess" dress (actually, her Easter attire), complete with a darling handbag.

My pro-life addendum:
"Afterall, a person is a person, no matter how small," says Horton the Elephant. Being reminded of this statement, here's an ultrasound photo of our little Abigail "Peanut" at about 6 weeks' gestation.
