Botanic Gardens

While Abigail and I were visiting Chicago, Uncle David and Aunt Judy (from Boston) received word that their longtime friend passed away. Though the circumstances of their visit to Chicago were sad, it was really nice to see them! Here are some photos of our visit to the Botanic Gardens...

Lincoln Park Zoo

Since Justin had to work, only Abigail and I "vacationed" at Mom's in Chicago for the first week of August.

Thank you, Gramma, for the special ride!

Sometimes, my brother Carl's family comes to Mom's house and spends the night as they did the night before the zoo. It's fun when the kids are in bed and we can play games!!!

Mommy's Little Helper

Gizmo Guys

The local arts council sponsored a free show in the park of the Gizmo Guys, who did juggling and more. Lots of fun!

Brushing Teeth

Abigail LOVES to brush her teeth all by herself. Since we're not sure she is doing such a thorough job, we gain entrance to her mouth by singing "Twinkle." No other song will let us in!

Gramma's Visit

My mother and I took a walking tour of downtown, which included these private gardens:

Gramma's visit from Chicago was very special. Abigail enjoyed showing off her "new house."

Mini Golf in the House!

Abigail was thrilled for her own golf set. So easy to satisfy a three year old with a trip to the dollar store!
