Feral chickens own Kauai. :)

Next we drove to the scenic overlooks of Waimea Canyon, dubbed the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific" by Mark Twain. This impressive canyon measures 10 miles long, 1 mile wide, and more than 3,500-feet deep.

We meandered along a jagged, steep path to a gorgeous view of a valley leading to the ocean.

Lush, green Kauai:

We even found time to grab dinner and return the rental car before our flight to Oahu. Despite flying on the busiest travel day of the year, we arrived on time at the Honolulu airport where our kind neighbor met us to take us home. Then we drove to the McGuires to retrieve our dear Abigail who had a grand time with her friends over the past three days. Thanks, guys!
